Resumo

As atitudes frente às vítimas de estupro podem ser definidas como atitudes e percepções favoráveis ou desfavoráveis em relação às pessoas que foram estupradas, englobando o grau de culpa, a credibilidade, merecimento e descrença nas histórias de vítimas. Especificamente, quanto maior as atitudes negativas frente às mulheres que sofrem estupro, mais se deslocam o foco da culpabilização dos estupradores para as vítimas. Este artigo, de natureza teórica, tem por objetivo discorrer sobre essas atitudes, evidenciando definição, características, correlatos e as principais consequências que essas atitudes negativas acarretam para a vítima e para sociedade como um todo.
