Termorregulação em ovinos, gradientes térmicos e termografia

A termorregulação em ovinos é crucial para a adaptação às mudanças ambientais. Os gradientes térmicos e termografia são ferramentas essenciais para avaliar o estresse térmico, essa resposta dos ovinos ao estresse térmico afeta a produtividade e o bem-estar, já a adaptação ao estresse térmico afeta o consumo de ração e o crescimento animal. Este trabalho teve como objetivo investigar mecanismos de termorregulação em ovinos sob condições de estresse térmico. As principais limitações de ovinos expostos à alta temperatura é afetar os níveis de glicose e colesterol em ovelhas outra limitação é a cor da pelagem que influencia a absorção de calor nos ovinos. Os principais destaques desta revisão são os mecanismos de termorregulação em ovinos sob condições de estresse térmico e a importância dos gradientes térmicos e da termografia na avaliação do bem-estar dos ovinos.
